The day of the garden hose gas man has been long dead.
However we still run into companies that claim they can do it cheaper.
How?
Most companies have the same suppliers for gas supplies.
Pricing from suppliers do not vary that much from shop to shop in regards to their actual costs for product.
However a shop's markup on the supplies may drive up costs fast.
We have seen how companies try to save money, and it is not pretty.
Meeting code is the bare minimum standard.
Any company that brags we meet code, is actually stating they do the bare minimum that is required by code.

This difference in the work does not cost much more.
When contacting a company for gas work to be done please check and make sure that the company has a Valid TSSA business number, and that the technicians coming out to do the work you requested have valid gas certificate. Apprentices without certificates do not exist.
All gas men/women must have a valid gas certificate on them.
It is your right to request to see their certificate.
