The Real Time Programable Timer is a 12 hr, 8 event, clock based programmable 8A load controller. Multiple Load ON and OFF times are programmed into this real time clock controller. Each day can be programmed with its own unique timing pattern. Eight ON and eight OFF events can be programmed independently. Example; Program on and off events to have the Generator come on every 4 hours for a 1/2 hour, then shut down. The house is brought up to temperature in the winter. The fridge and freezer contents are protected. When the power went out for a couple weeks during our last outage, could your propane company get to you before you ran out of propane? The answer was most likely no. They have hundreds of clients with generators. You as a home or cottage owner cannot expect your propane company in an emergency situation to drop everything and get to you when they have hundreds of emergencies out there. Be prepared. This unit can double your tank run time. The fuel savings can be substantial. Don't think for a second you cannot change how long the run time can be extended. There is also a manual button on the unit that will bypass the timer function if you wish for un-interupted power during an outage. This unit can be placed out in the generator or remote wired from the generator to the home. This unit Voids Warranties. Why? The common answer from manufacturers is wear and tear on the equipment. Manufacturers do not want to replace any components until the unit is out of warranty. Starters could be an issue. If you are using a good synthetic motor oil like we sell in our
maintenance packages, there should be no issues using this device.
We cannnot tell you enough how important is is to have you Hydro Generating Station inspected minimum once a year.
The Fuel savings can be enough for people to void their manufacturers warranty and request a unit put on.
